The insurance claim packet gathers the home, policy, selected item details, recorded values, and insurance photos into a PDF for your review. It may contain policy numbers, serial numbers, prices, receipts, and photographs, so inspect every page before sharing it. Creating or sharing the PDF does not notify an insurer or open a claim. The values are records you entered, not an Edmund appraisal or coverage decision.
Steps
- Open Print & share and choose Review claim packet.
- Check every page, remove information you do not want to send, and share it only with the intended recipient.
Does not
- File a claim, verify coverage, value property, or act as an insurer or adjuster.
- Give a realtor desk access to the packet or its contents.
Escalate when
- The packet includes the wrong home, omits a selected record, fails to generate, or becomes available to an unintended person.
