Photos & videos brings together insurance photos, item and label photos, receipts, and optional walk-through videos. Item photos, receipts, warranties, and repair invoices are most useful when attached from the related Home item so the connection stays clear. Current files use the Edmund-managed media lock described in the media-lock article. A walk-through is a private household reference; it does not replace an evacuation plan or emergency instructions.
Steps
- Open More, then Photos & videos, to add insurance photos or an optional walk-through.
- For a receipt, warranty, label, or repair invoice, open the related Home item and attach it there.
Does not
- Share files automatically with an insurer, realtor, contractor, or next owner.
- Guarantee recovery of a file that never finished syncing or uses a missing legacy key.
Escalate when
- A file stays only on the device, will not open after sync, or appears in the wrong household or item.
