Answer
Edmund Home signs you in with a short-lived one-time code sent by SMS to the mobile number on the account. That code is not a password. On iPhone, iPad, or Android, returning to the app may ask for device authentication — Face ID, Touch ID, or the phone’s own PIN or passcode. Edmund Home does not create or receive that PIN. Signing out ends the current device session.
Steps
- Enter the mobile number for the account and request a one-time code.
- Enter the code from SMS. On mobile, reopen the app if you are asked for device authentication.
Does not
- Use a password, an Edmund PIN, or email as the sign-in factor.
- Ask you to send the one-time code, a device PIN, or a media key to support.
Escalate when
- The code never arrives, the number has changed, or sign-in fails after a fresh code and Sign out.
