Neighbors is optional and available with Unlimited homes. When you opt in, Edmund can combine nearby household recommendations into a contractor, trade, rating, and usage count. Other households do not see your name, street address, home book, or private service notes. Contractor posts are labeled Sponsored. A recommendation or sponsored post is not a guarantee, endorsement, license promise, or instruction to hire someone.
Steps
- Open More, then Neighbors, and review the privacy explanation before turning recommendations on.
- Check credentials, insurance, references, price, and scope directly before hiring any professional.
Does not
- Reveal which household used a contractor or publish your street address.
- Guarantee workmanship, availability, licensing, insurance, pricing, or suitability.
Escalate when
- A recommendation identifies a household, an opt-out will not save, or a sponsored post is not clearly labeled.
